The Netherlands parliament is reportedly set to approve the participation of Dutch Armed Forces in bombing ISIS targets in Syria.
The move follows France’s call to the European Union member states to join forces in combating the ISIS after a series of coordinated terror attacks in Paris that killed nearly 130 people.

Dutch politician Tineke Strik was quoted by Sputnik as saying: "I think that if we decide to extend the bombing to the Syrian territory, we should really know what the effects would be, if it could promote a more sustainable solution and peace, or if it would raise the risk of accumulating more violence and would expose the Syrian citizens to even more violence.
"So I’m quite ambiguous about this."
The Netherlands is part of the coalition led by the US against the terrorist outfit. Currently the Dutch Air Force has been running operations against ISIS targets in Iraq since October 2014 but has resisted direct involvement in Syria.
Additionally, the Dutch forces are involved in training both Iraqi Special Forces and Kurdish forces.

By GlobalDataHowever, the Dutch Labour Party leader Emile Roemer was quoted by nrc.nl as saying: "The region does not benefit from a continuation of the aggressive intervention policies applied over the last fifteen years.
"This region is in need of humanitarian assistance, not more bombs. "
Last week, the Dutch Ministry of Defence (MoD) signed an agreement with the US and its allies to strengthen its counter-ISIS campaign in Iraq and Syria.
