Northrop Grumman Corporation has secured a maintenance support contract for the battlefield airborne communications node (BACN) system.

Awarded by the US Air Force (USAF), the contract requires Northrop Grumman to provide aircraft maintenance and logistics support for four BACN E-11A aircraft up to January 2018.

Orbital ATK has secured a $69.37m-worth contract from the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, US, to build an intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) aircraft by November next year.

The contractual scope will include the production of an ISR aircraft for the Afghanistan Air Force AC-208 armed ISR aircraft requirement.

M1 Support Services has received a one-year contract modification to provide support services for the T-38 aircraft.

The scope of the $21.53m-worth modification will include intermediate and organisational maintenance of T-38 aircraft in service with the US Air Force’s Air Force Global Strike Command, Air Force Materiel Command, and Air Combat Command.

PAE Aviation and Technical Services LLC has won a one-year contract modification worth $17.29m to provide functional and quality assurance support to the USAF's aerial targets programme.

Awarded by the Acquisition Management and Integration Center Contracting, Langley Air Force Base, Virginia, US, the contract will assist live-fire weapons system testing activities.

The contract will also support 53rd Weapons Evaluation Group in the testing of air-to-air missiles for fighter aircraft.
