Airbus Helicopters has placed an order with Saab for Integrated Defensive Aids Suite (IDAS) self-defence systems for installation onto the H225M Caracal multi-purpose utility helicopters.
The IDAS self-protection systems will be produced at Saab Grintek Defense’s facility in Centurion, South Africa, through next year, with deliveries scheduled for 2020.
