ADF ANTENNAS
The Automatic Direction Finder (ADF) is a radio navigation aid primarily used in aviation to determine the direction to non-directional beacons (NDBs) on the ground. By receiving low- and medium-frequency signals, it points to the NDB relative to the aircraft’s heading, enabling navigation toward or away from the station.
Though older than GPS and VOR, ADF is still valuable where NDBs operate or satellite coverage is limited. Integrated into cockpit displays, it supports flight safety.
