The Lithuanian armed forces have awarded a contract to Alenia Aeronautica to provide logistics support to the Lithuanian Air Force’s C-27J aircraft.
Under the three-year, €10m contract, the company will supply logistics support services for the entire fleet of three C-27J aircraft operated by the air force.

The contract also includes providing spare parts and ground support services, as well as a specific on-site assistance service, according to the Shephard.
The aircraft are used to transport troops and equipment, support international and Nato operations, as well as support Lithuanian troops in Afghanistan.
The Italian, Greek, Bulgarian, Romanian, US, Moroccan, Slovakian, and Mexican air forces have also chosen and placed orders for the aircraft.
