The Philippine Air Force (PAF) will receive four SF-260F Marchetti trainer aircraft to begin flying courses.

PAF spokesman Miguel Ernesto Okol said the new aircraft will enhance the training capability of the air force, which currently has only 20 trainer aircraft in its inventory.

The air force will receive the remaining 14 Marchetti units in the coming months, according to gmanews.tv.

The Philippines has acquired 18 propeller-type aircraft from Italy for PHP623m ($14m), which also includes spare parts, training and integrated logistical support.
