Kuwait will receive one Boeing C-17 Globemaster III aircraft and associated parts, equipment and logistics support worth $693m from the US, under a possible foreign military sale.
The sale may include four turbofan F117-PW-100 engines installed on the aircraft, one spare turbofan F117-PW-100 engine and one AN/ALE-47 countermeasures dispensing system (CMDS).

The US will also supply one AN/AAR-47 missile warning system, aircraft ferry services, refuelling support and precision navigation equipment as part of the sales agreement with Kuwait.
The proposed sale will provide long-range, strategic airlift capability to the Kuwaiti Air Force (KAF), allowing them to meet operational requirements.
The KAF will use the C-17 to provide relief support, support humanitarian disaster and peacekeeping missions, and transport dignitaries and cultural assets to international destinations.
