The US Air Force has awarded Telos Corporation a contract to deliver a web proxy server replacement for the combat information transport system (CITS) programme.

Under the contract, Telos will replace aging equipment, improve security, and provide hardware, software, training, and certification and accreditation (C&A) services.

The USAF’s CITS programme is a multiyear initiative to provide a high-speed, broadband, digital information transport system.

The system will integrate existing data systems and provide the capability to integrate all existing and planned voice, video, imagery and sensor systems, including classified systems.

The $13m contract has been awarded through the Network Centric Solutions (NETCENTS) contract vehicle.
