The Indian Air Force (IAF) has issued a global request for information to acquire unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UCAVs). India is looking for stealthy and high-endurance UCAVs, equipped with precision weapons and satellite data links, according to The Times of India.
The UCAVs will need to have good take-off and landing capabilities with a high service ceiling and a total technical life of more than 20 years.
The IAF requires the drones to be similar to Predators and Reapers, which can equally function as fighter jets and can be remotely controlled through satellites.
