The Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) is considering purchasing several fighter jets to strengthen its air defence.

RMAF chief General Datuk Seri Rodzali Daud told Bernama.com that the force would evaluate and identify the best fighter aircraft to meet the its future requirements.

The capabilities of the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet, Gripen and Eurofighter aircraft will all be evaluated, according to Daud.

The RMAF already has two multirole combat aircraft, an F/A-18D and a SU-30MKM, both with advanced technology to safeguard the country’s air space.
