The Russian Air Force has received the final batch of upgraded Sukhoi Su-27SM fighter jets from the Sukhoi Holding Komsomolsk-on-Amur aviation plant (KnAAPO).
During the upgrade, new features were incorporated into the aircraft to increase its combat capability.
With this delivery, the plant has completed its state defence order for 2009.
The Su-27SMs of the Su-27 family are fourth-generation fighters, capable of all combat operations, with a 3,530km range, and equipped with heavy armament and sophisticated avionics.
