The Dutch Ministry of Defence has announced that six F-16 fighter aircraft have sold to Jordan as part of a sale prompted by cuts in the dutch defence budget.

The six fighters, each in two-seater configuration, have been undergoing a two-week technical preparation period at the Logistics Centre in Woensdrecht, Netherlands prior to the sale.

Acceptance flights were carried out with the aircraft flown by Dutch pilots with Jordanian Air Force pilots as passengers.

The jordanian pilots will now fly the aircraft to their home base in Amman.
