Turkey’s Alp Aviation will supply the landing gear components for F-35 fighters to Goodrich Corporation, system integrator and supplier of landing gear for all variants of the F-35.

Under the F-35 joint strike fighter programme, a fifth-generation stealth fighter will be developed and funded by the US Air Force and eight US allies who intend to purchase more than 3,000 fighter jets.

Alp Aviation will supply machined components ranging from aluminium parts to high-strength steel components and assemblies with some of the latest landing gear processing technology for the fighter.

The components will be delivered to Goodrich’s Ohio facility.
