Pakistan has successfully tested the nuclear-capable Hatf-VIII, also known as Raad cruise missile, at an undisclosed location.
Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the missile system enabled Pakistan to achieve a greater strategic stand-off capability on land and at sea.
“The missile test was conducted as part of the continuous process of improving the technical parameters of the weapon system,” ISPR added.
Raad is a low-altitude air-launched cruise missile, with a range of 350km, which can carry a nuclear or conventional warhead.
The missile system, first tested in August 2007, possesses stealth capabilities and high manoeuvrability.
