The South African Air Force (SAAF) has awarded a contract to Reutech Solutions to provide support services for tactical mobile radar (TMR) and monopulse secondary surveillance radar systems.

The R3.8m contract is an extension of an R26.6m contract awarded in September 2009.

The TMR is a medium-range radar system that can reach 64nm at 15rpm and is based on the Marconi S711 radar system.

The radar system and its operators can sustain themselves without resupply for up to 20 days.
