The United Arab Emirates Air Force (UAEAF) will receive an upgraded fleet of Black Hawk helicopters from Sikorsky.

Sikorsky will upgrade the Black Hawk fleet as part of the $270.4m agreement signed between the UAEAF and Sikorsky, said Emeriti Major General Obeid Al Ketbi.

Under the deal, Sikorsky will modify 23 utility UAEAF helicopters to be used for transportation, humanitarian and military work.

Sikorsky has also won another deal worth $17.6m for conducting training and navigation assistance with the UAEAF helicopters, according to MENAFN.
