The Royal Malaysian Air Force is considering procuring 12 additional Pilatus PC-7 Mk II low-wing tandem-seat training aircraft in two batches, with the first batch delivered after April 2011.

If it goes ahead, the purchase of the first batch is expected to coincide with Malaysia’s new five-year budget, the Tenth Malaysia Plan.

Malaysia purchased a fleet of 19 PC-7 Mk IIs in 2005.
