Aecom’s wholly owned subsidiary JT4 has secured a $3.1bn contract to deliver joint range technical services (J-Tech II) to the US Air Force (USAF).

Under the cost-plus-award-fee contract, Aecom will continue to deliver operation, maintenance and sustainment services for the western test and training ranges.

Aecom Management Services Group president John C Vollmer said: “We have supported testing and training missions with a commitment to safety, innovation and operational excellence.

“Expected to be completed by 15 April 2033, work on the project will be carried out at locations in the US, including the 412th Test Wing in California.”

The value of the current deal and previous contracts in the services sector will be added to the company’s backlog for the third quarter of the 2018 fiscal year.
