Thai Aviation Industries (TAI) has been appointed by Airbus Helicopters as its ‘prime contractor and completion centre’ for its rotorcraft.

Under the agreement, Airbus will use TAI as the centre for the sale and distribution of its helicopters to the customers of Thailand’s military and government.

It expands on an earlier agreement signed by them in 2019.

TAI will also be responsible for new rotorcraft sales in Thailand, flight check, ferry flight and final delivery to customer, contract and warranty management.

In addition, the company will conduct the acceptance check of the green helicopter at Airbus Helicopters facilities, incoming check and reassembly, as well as customisation and completion work.

Thai Aviation Industries managing director air chief marshal Supachai Saingurn said: “We are honoured to take our partnership with Airbus another step forward.
