The Lithuanian Air Force (LAF) has renewed the HCare Infinite material management contract with Airbus for its AS365 N3 Dauphin helicopters for another three years.
The contract renewal follows after the LAF’s fleet of three Dauphins attained 97% average availability over three years.
In October 2013, the Lithuanian Armed Forces signed a $58.14m contract with Airbus Helicopters (formerly Eurocopter) for three Dauphins.
The three Dauphin AS365 N3+ search and rescue (SAR) helicopters entered service with the LAF in 2015.
The contract included a three-year full warranty and Airbus’ commitment to maintaining at least an 80% fleet availability rate.
Šiauliai Air Base commander lieutenant colonel Antanas Matutis said: “Airbus has far exceeded the availability rate agreed upon in the HCare Infinite support and service contract, achieving near-perfect 97% fleet availability.
