Canadian_CH-147 Chinook

Rockwell Collins has received a contract from Boeing to deliver avionics service and support for the Royal Canadian Air Force’s (RCAF) fleet of 15 CH-147F Chinook helicopters.

The RCAF’s CH-147F helicopters, which were delivered in 2013 and 2014, feature Rockwell’s common avionics architecture system (CAAS) cockpit.

Under the contract, the company will offer local avionics support equipment and engineering services to the RCAF 450 Tactical Helicopter Squadron.

The multi-mission helicopter is also fitted with an upgraded electrical system, a fully integrated common avionics architecture system cockpit, and digital automatic flight control system.

Other features include an advanced aircraft survivability equipment suite that includes a directional infrared countermeasures system.
