UltiSat to provide C-band and Ku bandwidth capacity to USAF

Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO) has awarded a task order for commercial satellite communications (COMSATCOM) to UltiSat.

Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO) has awarded commercial satellite communications (COMSATCOM) task order to UltiSat.

The COMSATCOM Transponded Capacity task order requires UltiSat to provide C-band and Ku-band bandwidth capacity to the US Air Force (USAF).

UltiSat will provide bandwidth to support the USAF Space Test and Training Range (STTR) for focused training activities.

Services provided as part of the deal will support satellite communications training and signal testing for the air force.

Commenting on the deal, UltiSat programme director Steve Roth said: “UltiSat is excited to partner with the STTR to provide space segment capacity to support their training surge event.

"This will enable USAF units to enhance their ability to diagnose and respond to interference events resulting in a more robust communications capability for our warfighters."
