Liteye Systems has entered into a partnership with Tribalco in order to deliver multiple anti-unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) defence systems (AUDS) to the US military.

Through the partnership, Liteye will deploy its counter-UAS system with the US forces to protect critical assets and personnel, and Tribalco will provide infield installation and training support.

Liteye Systems president Thomas Scott said: "As the legitimate use of unmanned vehicles becomes more prevalent in many industries, they become readily available for illicit use by our enemies.

“With the right technologies, we can provide coverage to our warfighters, while they conduct their mission of protecting against those who wish them harm."

Liteye's AUDS uses radar, precision thermal and daylight cameras, advanced video tracking, and multiple non-kinetic defeat capabilities to detect, track, identify and defeat UAVs.

This second-generation system is a TRL-9 level system, and is in full production.

The US military and government organisations have rigorously tested and evaluated the AUDS system over the past 18 months.

During the test, AUDS consistently exceeded the mission requirements, by simultaneously providing ground and air surveillance against possible threats.

Based in the US, Liteye Systems offers surveillance systems for protection of critical infrastructure.

In addition to the new AUDS counter UAV system, the company's products include radars, covert thermal cameras and tactical displays.

Tribalco is a US-based mission-critical IT, telecommunications and soldier survival solutions and services provider to defence and civilian customers around the world.
