The US Defense Security Cooperation Agency has notified Congress of a potential foreign military sale of 70 AGM-158 joint air-to-surface standoff missiles (JASSM) to Finland.
Under the estimated $255m sale, Finland has also requested two test vehicles, support and test equipment, publications and technical documentation, US Government and contractor engineering and other related logistical and programme support.
The proposed sale will upgrade Finland’s current aircraft munitions suite and increase its threat deterring capability.
The missile will be integrated on the air force F/A-18C/D aircraft fleet.
Lockheed Martin will be the prime contractor.
