Deals this week: ELTA Systems, Cyber Defense Information Assurance, Leonardo

Israel Aerospace Industries unit ELTA Systems Ltd has secured a contract worth $200m with an undisclosed customer to manufacture targeting and surveillance pods.

Israel Aerospace Industries unit ELTA Systems Ltd has secured a contract worth $200m with an undisclosed customer to manufacture targeting and surveillance pods.

The targeting and surveillance systems to be delivered under the contract will be integrated onto the country’s military aircraft.

Cyber Defense Information Assurance has received a contract modification to provide enterprise-level network management at the Air Force Information Network gateways up to July 2018.

The contractor will also provide defensive measures and optimised communications for the Air Force Information Network as part of the $14.79m-worth modification contract awarded by the US Tinker Air Force Base.

The Pakistan Ministry of Defence has placed an order with Leonardo SpA for an undisclosed number of AgustaWestland AW139 intermediate twin-engine helicopters.

Scheduled to be delivered at the beginning of 2018, the AW139 helicopters will be deployed for missions such as search-and-rescue, utility and emergency medical service.

"The contractor will also provide defensive measures and optimised communications for the Air Force Information Network, as part of the $14.79m-worth modification contract awarded by the US Tinker Air Force Base."

The US Air Force Life Cycle Management Center has awarded a contract modification worth $18.72m to The Boeing Company for the sustainment of multi-role radar systems for the Royal Saudi Air Force and US Air Force Air National Guard.

The contractual work covers sustainment of Talon HATE, AN/APG-63(V)1, AN/APG-63(V)2, and AN/APG-63(V)3 radars.

The Department of National Defence of Canada has awarded a contract to KF Aerospace for Bell 206 Level 7 Flight Training Device (FTD).

The training simulator to be supplied under the deal will be installed at the Contracted Flying Training and Support (CFTS) Training Centre in Southport, Manitoba, Canada.

The FTD is scheduled to be commissioned in April 2018.
