Deals this week: CAE, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin

CAE has secured a contract to provide an integrated training system for UAE Air Force and Air Defence's remotely-piloted aircraft (RPA).

CAE has secured a contract to provide an integrated training system for UAE Air Force and Air Defence's remotely-piloted aircraft (RPA).

Awarded by the General Headquarters of the UAE, the $56m-worth deal requires CAE to design and develop academic, simulator, and live flying training solutions for RPA pilots.

Northrop Grumman Space and Mission Systems Corporation has won a $332m contract modification to continue its support services to the US Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and the Department of Defense.

Granted by the US MDA located at Schriever Air Force Base, the one-year contract covers technical integration, operational integration products and services, and support, test and evaluation services at enterprise and ballistic missile defence system (BMDS) levels.

Lockheed Martin has been awarded a contract to supply SciosTrain suite of simulators for the Romanian Air Force’s F-16 Fighting Falcon multi-role fighter aircraft.

The order includes full mission and combat tactics trainers, which provide advanced training for the F-16 aircrew.

The training simulators are expected to be delivered in 2019.

DRS-Sustainment Systems Inc has received a contract valued $15.92m for the sustainment of Halvorsen 25K aircraft cargo loader.

Awarded by the US Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, the contract will run until May 2018.

Harris Corporation has won a contract modification to provide support services for the sustainment of the FPS-85 Phased Array Eglin radar.

Scheduled to be completed in March 2018, the contract covers weapon systems management, engineering and technical support.

The US Space and Missile Systems Center, stationed at Peterson Air Force Base, has awarded the contract.
