The US Air Force (USAF) has awarded four task order contracts to Ball Aerospace & Technologies to develop and integrate enhanced operational capabilities for its Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS).

Under the 18-month $17m contract, the company will integrate data streams from enhanced sensors on the Global Hawk and Predator Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) into the DCGS.

The company will also provide new net-centric situational awareness, radar, moving target indicators, and spectral capabilities for the intelligence community and the war-fighter.

The integration will ensure complete exploitation of data from the UAV sensors to meet critical war-fighter needs.
