Cobham Analytic Solutions’ strategic business unit has received an indefinite-delivery / indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) contract for a Missile Defense Agency (MDA) programme worth $1bn.

Under the contract, Cobham will provide advisory and assistance services to the Directorate for Engineering and the Directorate for Test, MDA.

Cobham will bid on task orders over the next five years in support of the ballistic missile defence system.

Work will be performed in all MDA operating locations, including Huntsville, Alabama, Washington DC and Colorado Springs.

The contract is managed by the MDA Engineering and Support Services (MiDAESS) Program Office.

The bid for the contract will start before the end of 2010.
