Selex Galileo has received a contract from BAE Systems to supply the Praetorian defensive aids subsystem (DASS) for tranche 3A Eurofighter Typhoons.
Under the £400m ($616m) contract, Selex will supply the Praetorian DASS including electronic counter measures (ECM), electronic support measures (ESM) and missile approach warning (MAW) elements.

The DASS will provide an enhanced level of situational awareness and protection for Typhoon crews.
Under the contract, Selex will deliver the first Praetorian in mid-2012 to all four partner nations – the UK, Italy, Spain and Germany.
