Israel Aerospace Industries has completed tests on a Boeing 767 tanker for the Colombian Air Force.

IAI has converted the aircraft for air-to-air refuelling for Colombian Air Force Kfir fighter bombers, which Israel upgraded at a cost of $60m.

Tests included verifying the tanker’s ability for air-to-air refuelling in a range of conditions, which will significantly extend the Kfir’s operational range.

The Colombian Air Force operates 20-30 Kfirs bought from Israel, which were previously used by the Israeli Air Force, according to globes.co.il.
