India is expected to test the air-launched version of the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile in 2012, according to BrahMos Aerospace chief A Sivathanu Pillai.
The Indian Air Force has already selected the Su-30MKI fighter aircraft as the launch platform for the BrahMos missile, according to brahmand.com.

Russia will provide design modifications for the aircraft for its use as a platform for launching the BrahMos missile.
“In the next two years, we are aiming to complete all tasks related to this,” Pillai said.
