The USAF has awarded a contract to provide system engineering and integration services in support of the Launch and Range Systems Wing (LRSW) evolved expendable launch vehicle (EELV) programme.
ManTech was awarded the $160m contract, which includes enterprise integration of launch and range programmes, interfaces with both the EELV and any future LRSW launch systems, and support for the launch and test range system.
ManTech will also provide technical support including systems engineering and integration, mission integration management, systems safety engineering and systems environmental engineering.
Technical support will also include systems security and information assurance, product assurance, launch schedule management and launch risk management.
The LRSW, located at the Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base, develops and acquires expendable launch systems, manages launch integration, mission assurance and launch campaigns.
It also provides range systems for space launch operations, and ballistic missile and aeronautical testing at the Eastern and Western Ranges.
The competitively awarded contract, with an initial value of $15,665,703, includes option periods for extended contract performance up to ten years.
