The US Air Force has awarded a contract to Dynamics Research Corporation to provide technical support at the F-16 programme office.
Under the $13.9m contract the company will provide programme management and technical services to assist with the modernisation and maintenance of the F-16 weapon system.
The F-16 is a technologically advanced fourth-generation fighter aircraft that can detect and track time-critical hard-to-find targets in all weather conditions.
Additional capabilities of the fighter also include in-flight data sharing with coalition forces, air-borne mission role change capability, expanded defence options against lethal threats and reduced operational costs.
The three-year contract is part of the logistics, maintenance and supply contract supporting the F-16 programme office at the Aeronautical Systems Center Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.
