Virginia-based engineering services provider Wyle Information Systems will support the US Air Force’s Space Innovation and Development Center (SIDC) by providing it with technical services.
Under the $13.9m contract, Wyle will examine, assess and develop means to integrate national system and Department of Defense space systems support to enhance combat, research and development capabilities within the air force.
The SIDC aims to provide innovative space-based combat capabilities to US troops.
The centre also improves exploitation of air, space and cyberspace capabilities through wargaming, exercises, experiments and space range development.
SIDC, based at Schriever Air Force Base, will manage the contract.
