General Dynamics has been awarded an operations and maintenance contract to support the US Air Force Air Defense Communications Service 2 programme.
The firm will support three battle control centres and an air operations centre under a two-year contract that has an option for four more years of service.
Programme management and engineering services for associated facilities throughout the world will also be provided by the company.
GD will develop, integrate and maintain mission systems at the control centres and serve as a single manager for communications systems in support of the North American Aerospace Defense Command’s air sovereignty mission.
The deal will be valued at $67.7m if all options are exercised.
