The US Air Force will receive continued depot maintenance support for low-altitude navigation and targeting infrared for night (LANTIRN) pods from Lockheed Martin under a renewed contract.

Under the $60m, five-year contract, the company will offer quick-turn repairs on all LANTIRN assets.

Lockheed will continue to operate the government-owned worldwide depot at Warner Robins Air Force Base to 2014.

LANTIRN pods provide aviators with enhanced range, resolution and reliability in daylight or darkness.
