Elbit Systems of America and General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products have formed a joint venture to provide unmanned aerial systems (UAS) to the US Department of Defense (DoD).
The partnership named UAS Dynamics will offer solutions based on already proven advanced UAS designs that have clocked up more than 150,000 operational flight hours.
New features will be added to the designs using existing technology, manufacturing and logistics resources.
The new platforms will serve to fill operational gaps in US defence needs.
This will also include intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities ranging from handheld and tactical level systems to medium-altitude, long-endurance level systems.
Elbit Systems of America and General Dynamics are 50-50 partners in UAS Dynamics, headquartered in South Carolina.
