Elbit Systems of America will deliver colour helmet-mounted displays (HMD) for the US Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) under a deal signed with Boeing Military Aircraft.

The USAF will use the colour HMDs for the Bell-Boeing V-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft fleet pilots.

Under the contract, Elbit Systems of America will couple its helmet display and tracking system (HDTS) technology with new colour symbology for day and night operations, including night vision goggles.

Elbit Systems of America president and chief executive officer Raanan Horowitz said the company would provide cutting-edge technology for the warfighter, delivering high-quality colour HMDs to support critical missions and needs.

Work under the contract will be performed in Fort Worth, Texas, US.
