Michael Baker has received a task order for airfield obstruction surveying and mapping services for four US Air Force (USAF) reserve bases under the Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC).

Under the contract, Michael Baker subsidiary Michael Baker Jr. will provide geodetic control surveys, aerial LiDAR topographic and planimetric surveys, photogrammetric mapping and airfield approach / departure obstruction analysis.

The task order also includes E-Tab mapping updates, 3D modelling of base facilities, Geo-Base updates, and development of a tree management plan.

Michael Baker, assistant vice president and air force account principal, said: “These projects also help ensure a safe environment for aircrews operating at these bases.”

Awarded by the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Mobile District, the indefinite delivery / indefinite quantity contract has a five-year period and a ceiling value of up to $12m.
