The US Department of Defense will award a not-to-exceed $89m firm-fixed-price modification contract to Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Systems to obligate fiscal year 2011 procurements.

US Congress has mandated advance procurement funding for long lead efforts for the acquisition of one US Air Force C-130J-30 aircraft.

The funding also includes eight HC/MC C-130J aircraft variants, including two peculiars for each of the variants for a total of nine aircraft.

ASC/WLNNC, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio, US, will be the contracting activity.
