Pilatus Aircraft is set to sign a $1bn contract to supply 75 basic trainer aircraft to the Indian Air Force (IAF).
The yet-to-be-signed contract follows a tender issued for trainer aircraft in 2009.
Swiss newspaper Le Temp has reported that the first 12 aircraft will be delivered in two years, which will replace the HP-32 Deepak aircraft.
The company has supplied over 500 trainer aircraft to the Middle East nations.
