The Iranian Defence Ministry has delivered a large number of indigenous high-precision ballistic missiles, Qiyam (Rise) 1, to the Aerospace Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC).
Qiyam 1 is the country’s first finless mass-produced surface-to-surface missile with liquid fuel, which cannot be detected by radars and air defence systems.
The new finless design increases the speed of the missile while also reducing launch time.
The missile was successfully test fired before being delivered.
Iranian Defence Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi said the delivery of the missile marked self-sufficiency being attained by the nation in producing different types of missiles.
