Lockheed Martin MS2 Tactical Systems has been awarded a firm-fixed-price / cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide a ready-to-use long-range radar 2 site for the Iraqi Air Force.
The $26m contract is a foreign military sales contract, of which, $13m has already been awarded as an obligatory amount.
The long-range radars will ensure that the Iraqi Air Force is independent and capable of providing its own air defence, and guard against threats to provide national air sovereignty.
Work will be carried out at the company’s facility in Minnesota, US.
The Electronic Systems Center / HSGK, Hanscom Air Force Base will be the contracting activity.
