Elbit Systems of America a wholly owned subsidiary of Elbit Systems has been awarded a contract from Boeing for the development of the C-17 replacement head-up display (RHUD) for the US Air Force (USAF).
The C-17 provides rapid strategic airlift of troops and cargo to main operating bases, and performs tactical airlift, medical evacuation and airdrop operations.

The new C-17 RHUD will enhance the capability of the aircraft to fulfil US air mobility requirements around the world.
The monetary details of the contract have not been disclosed, however, it contains options for recurring production and repairs.
