Lockheed Martin has won a contract modification from the US Air Force for sustainment of its fleet of F-22 Raptors.
The $726.6m modification is for the Follow-On Agile Sustainment for the Raptor (FASTeR) sustainment contract.
The FASTeR performance-based logistics contract provides weapon systems sustainment of the F-22 fleet at all operational bases during 2011.
The contract also includes training systems, integrated support planning, supply chain management, aircraft modifications and heavy maintenance, sustained engineering, support products and systems engineering.
Lockheed F-22 Programme vice-president of sustainment Scott Gray said the Raptor ensures that the US and its allies can control the skies and access heavily defended theatres.
