ATK has been selected to provide the thermal control subsystem for Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s (DARPA) Integrated Sensor is Structure (ISIS) programme.

The company will design, develop, build and test hardware that performs heat acquisition, heat transport and heat rejection for two complete thermal systems.

DARPA’s ISIS programme is intended to develop an airship-based autonomous unmanned sensor, with unique capabilities to track ground and air targets.

Work on the contract will be performed at ATK’s Beltsville facility in Maryland, US.

The contract has been awarded by Lockheed, the prime contractor for the programme.
