ARINC Engineering Services has received a $63.7m contract to upgrade five C-130B transport aircraft of the Indonesian Air Force.
Under the contract, ARINC will carry out structural and electronic modifications to upgrade the 30-year-old C-130B airframes with more advanced capabilities and technology.
ARINC will perform the work with selected subcontractors on site at customer facilities in Indonesia.
The upgrade work will begin in early 2011 and will take 32 to 36 months to complete.
In July 2010, ARINC won a US Air Force foreign military sales (FMS) contract to perform programmed depot maintenance on a C-130H transport used by Indonesia for disaster relief and humanitarian aid.
