The Iranian Air Force is planning to manufacture the third-generation of guided Qased (messenger) missiles.
The new-generation missile, equipped with an engine, will fly over a distance of 100km, Iranian Air Force Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Karshaki told Fars news agency.

The 2,000lb missiles are among the strongest missiles in the world, Karshaki said.
Iran began designing and manufacturing these missiles during the final years of the 1980-88 Iran-Iraq war.
