The Indonesian National Army Air Force (TNI AU) F-16 fighter aircraft are undergoing maintenance work at Iswahyudi Air Base, East Java, in Indonesia.

Former commander of the US Air Force Asia Pacific Region William Begert told chief of staff of the TNI Air Force Marshal Imam Sufaat that the US had continued to assist the care and maintenance of F-16 fighter aircraft owned by the TNI AU.

Air Force Air Marshal TNI Bambang Samoedro First said that care and maintenance of F-16 engine by the US Air Force has been running normally after the policy of US embargo.

“It’s been three years. They assist and monitor the care and maintenance and spare parts of the F-16 machine,” Bambang added.

Pratt & Whitney performs the care and maintenance work twice a year, reports Home Daily News.
