Saab has received an order from the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration, FMV, to supply six Gripen aircraft to the Royal Thai Air Force.
Under the contract, Saab will deliver single-seat C version of six Gripen aircraft, between 2010-2013.
The order is worth Skr2bn ($316m).
Under the contract, Saab will also upgrade the Saab Erieye radar system equipped Saab 340 that FMV will sell to Thailand.
In 2008, the FMV ordered six Gripen fighter from Saab for the Thai Air Force.
